The Applied Data Solutions Program (ADSP) Internship is your opportunity to bring your technical education background to life by solving real-world problems and developing data-driven solutions.

The ADSP Internship spans multiple teams, with opportunities across machine learning engineering, software engineering, data science, and AI development. While the team you're placed on will be determined by your background and technical focus, you can expect to:
• Work side-by-side with Software Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, and Data Scientists to design, build, and deploy scalable, production-grade systems and tools.
• Apply data analysis, predictive modeling, and generative AI techniques to build and maintain end-to-end operational solutions.
• Work with large, complex data sets to drive solutions through analytical models and translate data into impactful, actionable insights.
• Collaborate with technical partners to implement robust real-time and batch decisioning pipelines in production environments.
• Explore and contribute to emerging AI/ML capabilities, including large language model (LLM) integration and applied machine intelligence.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data querying tools (SQL, Spark, etc.) and extracting insights from complex, large-scale data sets
Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn) or cloud-based data platforms
Exposure to LLMs, generative AI, or applied AI product development
Ability to translate complex, ambiguous technical concepts into clear, business-focused solutions
Self-motivated, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Minimum Qualifications
Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Scala, Java, C++, or equivalent
Practical experience through coursework, projects, or internships in software engineering, data science, or machine learning
Understanding of the software development lifecycle, data modeling, data structures, and machine learning algorithms
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $33.64 and $50.46/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
