As a software sustainment engineer, you play a pivotal role in an application's functional life. From troubleshooting to fixing bugs, you'll use your operations and maintenance skills to ensure that things run smoothly. As a software sustainment engineer at Booz Allen, you'll have an operational impact from day one. Supporting a team of professionals, you'll help maintain applications and keep systems working. You'll use programming and scripting languages as you continuously enhance and maintain the applications, troubleshoot any issues that arise operationally, and upgrade the systems to meet security requirements.

You Have:

• Experience with programming languages, including Java, JavaScript, C, C++, Assembly, Python, Perl, R, or Bash

• Experience with machine learning, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms in academic or internship environments

• Experience with conducting research and writing software

• Ability to produce technical documentation and create design artifacts

• Ability to work independently and in teams

• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

• Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree in a Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field by Winter 2027, Spring 2028, or Summer 2028

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $53,000.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
