As a Security Officer Part Time Retail Site in Tigard, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. You will support access control, respond to alarms, assist visitors and tenants, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail property, common areas, parking facilities, exterior perimeter, and surrounding grounds to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, property damage, maintenance concerns, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
  • Assist with access control, visitor and contractor interactions, and documentation of incidents, patrols, and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
