Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Construction Risk Lead based at our Mississauga Office, Ontario. 

This role requires a hands-on professional who can lead a team while working directly on projects. We need someone who is driven to deliver outstanding work for clients and whose industry contacts are key to bringing in new business. This position is to fill an existing position within the team.

You must be an expert in risk consulting with excellent project management skills and be able to provide valuable local market insights.

Major Responsibilities

  • Lead project assignments on risk management services
  • Develop a roadmap for the unit’s business planning and execution
  • Leading reviews of program/project issues, and developing risk mitigation strategies
  • Pursuing and building relationships across business, gathering intelligence, and bringing insight about the wider local capital project landscape.

In this role, the individual should be able to review and guide the work of junior and senior risk analysts, including but not limited to:

  • Act as an advisor for projects in the area of Construction Risk Management
  • Developing and undertaking Quantitative Risk Analysis, including Cost, Schedule and integrated Cost and Schedule analysis
  • Facilitation of risk workshops in the client’s environment
  • Analyze project data and develop Design and Construction Risk Registers.
  • Prepare Construction Risk Assessment presentations and prepare presentations of the projects risk profile.
  • Development and implementation of project risk management plans.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • University Degree in Construction Management or Engineering
  • At least ten (10) years of relevant experience within Construction Management and Risk Assessments (Qualitative/quantitative risk assessments on construction projects)

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Membership of a professional body an asset
  • Experience in Primavera P6
  • Familiarity with Monte Carlo simulation or similar software
