Permanency Caseworker (SWAN)
Every Child, Inc. | Southwestern Pennsylvania | Full-Time amp; Part-Time

About Every Child, Inc.
Every Child, Inc. (ECI) is a nonprofit organization in southwestern Pennsylvania dedicated to strengthening families and communities through foster care, adoption, family preservation, and family-based mental health services. We're a passionate team in a period of meaningful growth — and we're looking for people who want to be part of it. At ECI, caseworkers carry sustainable caseloads so you can do your best work for the families who need it most.
The Role
As a Permanency Caseworker, you'll work closely with children, families, and referral sources to build and execute comprehensive permanency plans — connecting adoptive and kinship families with the individualized support they need for stable, lasting placements. You'll provide the full range of SWAN service units, including:
  • Child Profiles and Child Preparation Services
  • Child-Specific Recruitment
  • Family Profiles and Placement
  • Finalization support
  • In-home visits, case advocacy, and ongoing family support
Services are delivered in home and community settings. Both full-time (40 hrs/week) and part-time positions are available.
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field
  • 1–2 years of related experience and/or internship (preferred, not required)
  • Experience working with trauma-impacted individuals and families
  • Strong relationship-building and one-on-one communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and computer skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or non-traditional hours as needed
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic, community-based environment
Don't check every box? Apply anyway. We believe you are more than a resume. If you're passionate about this work, we want to hear from you.
Our Commitment to Diversity amp; Inclusion
ECI is committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity where different ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds are welcomed and valued. We seek candidates who share a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and who engage in ongoing self-reflection and growth.
Compensation amp; Benefits
  • Salary: $38,000–$42,000 annually (for full-time)
  • Retention bonus starting after 1 year
  • Health insurance with low employee contribution
  • Dental, vision, and life insurance (employer paid)
  • 401(k) plan with employer match
  • Childcare and student loan/tuition reimbursement
  • Wellness incentives
  • Mileage and expense reimbursement
  • PTO, sick time, and 11 paid holidays (including your birthday)
  • Free licensure supervision
