Compensation Range:
$51,934.60 - $89,641.28
Position Summary:
The College is seeking a strong scholar-practitioner who will share faculty enthusiasm for excellence in undergraduate teaching, service to the campus and broader, college-wide communities, and dedication to community partnerships within the region.
We are offering an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic academic division and to contribute to the development of student success. Desire candidates with on-going professional development interests, love of teaching, and enthusiasm for campus and College committees and activities.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of: Computer Science, Educational Technology supported by computers, or any combination of qualifying fields.
Qualifying Fields: Electric Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering Technology, Computer General Studies, Computer Information Administrator, Computer Information Systems, Computer Programming, Cyber Security, Database Design, Information Security, Network Administrator or Network Security. Courses in Educational Technology must focus on computer skill competencies such as programming, multimedia technologies and web development. Professional certification is required for certain courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess one or more of the following preferred qualifications: 1) experience teaching at an accredited community or state college; 2) ability to develop and teach game design/development courses; 3) ability to develop and teach 3D animation courses using common rigging tools; 4) ability to develop and teach courses in artificial intelligence; 5) ability to develop and teach courses in Cloud computing; 6) ability to develop and teach graphic design courses using industry-standard tools; 7) ability to develop and teach courses in Microsoft Office applications; 8) team-oriented and able to work collaboratively with colleagues; and 9) commitment to students through exceptional teaching and learning.
Supplemental Job Information:
A faculty screening committee will analyze the strength of your application materials. Applicants with a qualifying degree from an educational institution outside the United States and Canada must submit a foreign credential evaluation from one of the members of the National Association of Credential Evaluations Services (website: www.naces.org). To complete your application, you must attach a copy of your graduate academic transcripts from an accredited institution of higher education, showing attainment of at least the minimum qualifications. You should include a complete online application, CV, cover letter, unofficial transcripts, and professional references. The faculty screening committee will select the top candidates for an interview that includes comprehensive questions and may require a teaching demonstration.
Pay Rate:
Faculty members will be assigned to the appropriate salary grade based on the contract with the faculty union
  • Grade 2: Master's Degree with 18 graduate semester hours in field $51,934.60
  • Grade 2+: Master's Degree with 60 graduate semester hours in the field $54,594.23
  • Grade 1: PhD in major field $57,255.05

Up to four salary steps may be applied to the starting salary based on experience.
