Who is OOCL: OOCL (Orient Overseas Container Line) is one of the world's largest integrated international container transportation and logistics companies. Many current workflows rely on ageing manual tools and fragmented reporting methods; you will help assess automation opportunities, streamline data collection, and enhance KPI visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review existing MOC (Marine Operating Center) planning and reporting processes to identify automation opportunities
  • Support the modernization of legacy tools (5–10 years old) through automation or optimization
  • Assist in reducing manual email dependency by streamlining information intake and reporting methods
  • Help centralize KPI monitoring and performance reporting systems
  • Support data availability and accessibility for operational analysis and decision‑making
  • Collaborate with project sponsors and cross‑functional stakeholders to document findings and recommendations

Learning Outcomes

  • Hands‑on experience with automation tools and data platforms
  • Practical application of analytics, reporting, and process improvement concepts
  • Development of professional communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
  • Meaningful, non‑clerical project work
  • Real impact on operational efficiency and visibility
  • Professional mentorship and development
  • Experience within a global maritime and logistics organization

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in a related field (e.g., Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Operations, or similar)
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Microsoft Power Platform
    • Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric
    • Power Automate
    • Power BI
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage project‑based tasks
  • Interest in process improvement, automation, and data‑driven decision‑making

All employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
