Job description

Position Title: Midlevel to Senior Trade Secrets & Non-Compete Litigator - LA
Salary Range: $210,000-$270,00 / DOE
A nationally recognized labor and employment law firm is seeking a Midlevel to Senior Trade Secrets & Non-Compete Litigator for its Los Angeles office. This attorney will handle complex restrictive covenant and trade secret disputes, including expedited discovery, computer forensics, emergency injunctive relief, depositions, and motion practice in state and federal court. The ideal candidate is a proactive, persuasive litigator who takes ownership of their cases, works effectively across multiple teams, and thrives in a sophisticated but highly collaborative environment.
Midlevel to Senior Trade Secrets & Non-Compete Litigator Responsibilities:
  • Litigate complex trade secret and restrictive covenant matters in state and federal court
  • Draft temporary restraining orders, preliminary injunctions, complaints, and other critical pleadings
  • Prepare motions for injunctive relief and expedited discovery
  • Draft and respond to written discovery and initial pleadings
  • Manage e-discovery matters and issues involving computer forensics
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Draft and argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions
  • Develop case strategies in partnership with attorneys across the firm
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding case developments, strategy, and risk
  • Manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment

Midlevel to Senior Trade Secrets & Non-Compete Litigator Requirements:
  • Active membership in the California State Bar
  • At least three years of trade secret litigation experience
  • Meaningful experience litigating restrictive covenant and trade secret disputes
  • Experience pursuing or defending emergency injunctive relief
  • Demonstrated experience with expedited discovery, depositions, computer forensics, and e-discovery
  • Experience drafting temporary restraining orders, preliminary injunctions, and complaints
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Excellent legal writing, research, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative litigation team
  • Proactive mindset with the confidence to seek out responsibility and take ownership of matters
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines without sacrificing quality
