The Siemens PTI Energy Business Advisory (EBA) unit is an experienced technology and management consultancy partner in the energy sector. In this role, EBA creates value for our customers by providing Strategic Planning, Valuation to support Mergers and Acquisitions, Risk Management, and Market Intelligence backed by experience, technical knowledge, and industry-leading tools.

We are seeking qualified candidates for our Grid Software Internship in Energy Business Advisory beginning in October 2027. This is a fully remote, part-time role.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Supporting consulting engagements, business process improvements, solutions to technical issues, and data management and visualization.
  • Focusing on the interpretation and application of power and gas data to determine relevant issues and inform strategic consultant engagements.
  • Delivering research, data acquisition, and analysis of energy and power markets to create reports, models, and statistical insights that support decision-making and stakeholder communications.
  • Presenting findings through briefings, charts, and presentations while safeguarding confidentiality, adapting to shifting priorities, and leveraging programming and analytics skills (MATLAB, SQL, Python).

Basic Qualifications

  • Current junior or senior undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
  • Prior experience as a Energy Business Advisory Intern with Siemens Grid Software.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis.
  • This internship is a structured experiential learning program for individuals currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program who will continue their studies following the assignment. Current and continuing enrollment is a condition of participation. Applicants who have completed or expect to complete their educational program before or during the assignment period are encouraged to explore our Early Career Development Program opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with MATLAB, C/C++, Java, Python or SQL programming languages
  • Working knowledge of applications of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Experience using collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, or Discord.
  • Ability to work effectively with multinational and diverse groups and demonstrate leadership skills.
  • Self-starter with good time management skills and the capacity to effectively prioritize a variety of concurrent activities.

You'll Benefit From

The hourly pay range for this position $31.00 - $35.00 per hour, based off of your projected graduation year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
