Job description

 Rigid Tactical is seeking a highly skilled and Qualified ECS Weapons-based Instructor II High Risk Phase Lead to manage critical small arms training for expeditionary forces. We are looking for experienced tactical leaders who can oversee high-risk, live-fire range operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and technical proficiency. The successful candidate will lead a team of elite instructors in the delivery of modern combat shooting techniques for both the M18 and M4 weapon systems. Employment is contingent upon contract award.

  • Hourly Salary: $36.98/hour (H&W $5.09) = $42.07 Hourly // $87,505.60 yearly
Required Qualifications
  • Must meet all qualifications required of an ECS Weapons-based Instructor II — High Risk.
  • Minimum 2 years experience delivering weapons-based courses of instruction that include live-fire training.
  • Must possess and be capable of demonstrating modern dynamic combat shooting skills.
  • Completed an approved Small Arms Instructor Course per OPNAVINST 3591.1.
  • Must achieve and maintain Sharpshooter qualification on M18 Service Pistol and M4 Carbine semi-annually (every 180 days).
  • Range Safety Officer (RSO) designation; must complete PQS per NAVEDTRA 43466 and pass the RSO Certification Board.
  • Line Coach (Small Arms) qualification per NAVEDTRA 43466 (within 90 days of reporting).
  • Minimum 2 years documented tactical military operational experience in all ECS topic areas.
  • Minimum 2 years of formal instructor experience with completion of NITC (A-012-0077) or equivalent.
  • U.S. Citizenship required (per DoD Manual 5200.02).
  • Valid driver's license; CDL certification or ability to obtain (for bus operations).
  • Ability to pass medical and psychological screening per OPNAVINST 1500.75 and NETCINST 1500.13.
  • Must pass AA&E Screening (OPNAV 5530/1) within 60 days of hire and annually thereafter.
  • Drug-free; must pass pre-employment urinalysis at a DHHS-certified lab.
  • Current Basic First Aid and CPR certification (classroom-based).
  • Enrolled in a hearing conservation program (29 CFR 1910.95) and in full compliance with the Lautenberg Amendment.
Duties and Responsibilities
  •  Perform all duties of an Instructor II while managing instructor assignments and scheduling for Phase I (M18 Pistol) or Phase II (M4 Carbine).
  •  Oversee the delivery of 51.25 total hours of Small Arms instruction, including 34.75 lab hours of live-fire training.
  •  Supervise range operations in accordance with OPNAVINST 3591.1G and CENSECFORINST 5100.1.
  • Ensure all weapons-based instructors maintain Sharpshooter qualification every 180 days.
  • Maintain a minimum of 15 Range Safety Officers (5 Pistol, 5 Rifle, 5 Simunitions) across the contract.
  • Ensure all phase instructors complete Line Coach PQS within 90 days.
  • Monitor CUIT certification progress for instructors assigned to the phase.
  • Ensure compliance with AA&E Screening (OPNAV 5530/1) for all phase personnel.
  • Armed escort duties for weapons transport to/from firing ranges.
  • Coordinate and distribute 8 CDL-certified bus drivers for assigned phase operations.
  • Contribute to Monthly Status Report (MSR) Sections 3 and 4 for all assigned instructors.
  •  Ensure all personnel strictly follow Emergency Action Plans and Training Time Out (TTO) procedures during high-risk evolutions.
