Damar is currently seeking a licensed Clinical Psychologist to be part of our integrated healthcare team at our East campus, located in Richmond, Indiana! The Clinical Psychologist completes intakes, diagnostic appointments, and consultations, providing caregivers with a detailed diagnostic report. Provides clinical oversight to contract psychologists and interns. Ensures diagnostic practices are in alignment with Damar’s mission.

  • Conducts timely and thorough assessment and evaluations for assigned clients
  • Attends mandatory staff meeting and other meetings as assigned
  • Supervise and provide clinical guidance and training to Psychometrists, reviewing all diagnosis and evaluations completed, approving work completed
  • Gather collateral documentation by requesting, receiving and organizing previous mental health, medical, education and other records to be used in the overall assessment of the client & evaluation
  • Completes diagnostic interviews and uses screening tools to evaluate the need for further testing
  • Makes a clinical determination on the most appropriate assessments, measures, and tests to utilize
  • Completes all documentation, including but not limited to, evaluation reports within 15 business days of the date of service
  • Provides recommendations to caregivers both when a diagnosis is given and when a diagnosis is not
  • Utilizes a trauma assumed approach when addressing patient problem behavior
  • Seeks patient consent during the evaluation process
  • Takes pride and ownership in Damar’s facilities and assigned work areas
  • Seeks the best use of materials, equipment, and staff to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Acts as a good steward of Damar and/or client finances
  • Shows initiative by identifying solutions to work towards improving stakeholder satisfaction
  • Prioritizes duties in a manner consistent with organizational objectives and growth
  • Ensures that documentation is consistent with billed services, is accurate, and legible
  • Completes and updates mandatory training and other licensure related items in a timely manner
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures as defined in the Employee Handbook
  • Maintains HSPP licensure
  • Interacts professionally with parents, school, medical personnel, and others using excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Develops and maintains professional boundaries with employees and stakeholders
  • Adheres to the current APA Ethics Code

What you need to be considered:

  • PsyD or PhD required
  • A minimum of 2 years completing diagnostic assessments
  • HSPP endorsement
  • Minimum age of 18 per licensure requirements
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)
  • Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
  • Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
