Why you should join our team as a Software Engineering Intern

As a Software Engineering Intern, you will contribute to the development, testing, and continuous improvement of Wilson Connectivity cellular signal amplifiers and distributed antenna systems. You will work alongside experienced engineering professionals, gain hands-on exposure to real product development, and build practical skills in software, systems, and engineering operations.

Position Benefits

This internship offers up to 40 hours per week for up to 6 months, providing meaningful hands-on experience in a professional engineering environment.

This position reports to the Sr. Software Engineering Manager and is based in our Richardson, TX office, where you will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams and gain visibility into real-world product development.

Area of Responsibility

  • Support software and systems development by coding, testing, debugging, and documenting enhancements to existing applications and engineering tools
  • Execute hardware and software test plans and help analyze results to improve product quality and system reliability
  • Assist with engineering operations by maintaining technical documentation, organizing project data, and supporting product lifecycle management activities
  • Contribute ideas and lightweight automation solutions that improve reporting, visibility, or efficiency across engineering and managed services workflows

Education & Technical Competencies

  • Required: Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Required: Foundational programming experience in one or more languages such as C, C++, C#, or Python
  • Required: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Preferred: Familiarity with embedded systems, Linux environments, IoT or Bluetooth-connected devices, or test automation
  • Preferred: Interest in AI tools, engineering workflows, and improving development or reporting efficiency through automation
