Job Description
Are you passionate about optimizing manufacturing processes and driving efficiency on the shop floor? Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.
As our new Manufacturing Engineer, you will be improving manufacturing methods, optimizing workflows, and designing equipment layouts that maximize efficiency and quality across our machining operations. You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.
What you will be doing
As a key part of the Manufacturing Engineering team, you'll create impact by driving lean manufacturing excellence and continuous cost savings that directly support Grundfos's Win in the US strategy.
Your main responsibilities include:
  • Develop and execute manufacturing engineering strategies to optimize quality, cost, and lead times across production operations.
  • Establish routings, standards, and setup sheets for new and modified engineered parts while planning tooling and fixture requirements for the machine shop.
  • Apply statistical methods to forecast manufacturing requirements and participate in capital equipment justification.
  • Implement lean processes and 5S initiatives to drive continuous improvement and cost reduction.
  • Monitor daily production activities for accuracy and performance, providing training and corrective action as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all EHS requirements including waste disposal, spill response, and environmental procedures.

What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a detail-oriented engineer with machining knowledge, lean manufacturing expertise, and the collaborative spirit to drive process improvements in a fast-paced production environment. We would also imagine that you have:

  • Knowledge of machining fundamentals and basic understanding of CNC programming/editing.
  • Proficiency with PC-based tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with SAP, ERP, or MRP systems.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniques and 5S methodology.

It is a plus if you also have:
  • Experience with statistical process control and workforce utilization analysis.
  • Background in capital equipment evaluation and justification.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing cost reduction strategies and workflow optimization.

Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship is not available for applicants for US Work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa).
