The position works primarily with Citizen and Star multi-axis Swiss-type turn/mill machines and provides technical guidance to less-experienced employees and student interns.

An employee who demonstrates strong technical performance, dependability, judgment, communication, and leadership potential may be considered for advancement into a lead position based on company needs and demonstrated performance.

  • Develop, prove out, edit, and optimize CNC programs for Citizen and Star multi-axis Swiss-type turn/mill machines using applicable CAD/CAM software.
  • Set up and operate CNC equipment, including tooling, workholding, offsets, program edits, and machine adjustments.
  • Verify setups and first-piece production through measurement, inspection, and comparison with applicable drawings and specifications.
  • Create and maintain setup sheets, tooling information, approved CNC programs, production records, process-control documents, and other required manufacturing documentation in accordance with established file and revision-control procedures.
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, programming, and equipment issues; complete assigned preventive maintenance; and support continuous improvement of quality, productivity, and process reliability.
