About the job:
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Courtland, AL, for a CNC Machinist. We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our machine shop team with a minimum of 5 years machining experience. This position requires hands-on experience in programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and lathes. Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of producing precision parts with minimal supervision.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Program, set up, and operate Mazak CNC mills and lathes. Mazak, Siemens, and Fanuc controls, be able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Select tooling and fixtures for setups
  • Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments
  • Make program and offset adjustments as needed
  • Maintain quality and production standards
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping

Requirements:
  • Experience programming CNC machines (G-code and/or CAM)
  • Strong setup and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to hold tight tolerances
  • Experience with both mill and lathe work
  • Ability to work independently
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred:
  • CAM software experience
  • Prototype and short-run job shop experience
  • Tooling and fixture design knowledge
