Job description

As a Behavior Technician, you will provide 1:1 play-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to help children develop essential skills in communication, social interaction, and daily living. Through positive reinforcement and structured interventions, you’ll empower our “kiddos” to build independence and improve their quality of life. 
What You'll Do: 
  • Support Children Through Personalized Play Therapy – Use evidence-based ABA techniques to help children learn essential life skills. 

  • Promote Positive Behavioral Growth – Implement interventions to reduce challenging behaviors and create a structured, supportive learning environment. 

  • Track and Drive Progress – Collect behavioral data to measure success and adjust strategies as needed. 

  • Collaborate with Families – Work closely with parents to ensure consistency in behavioral strategies across home, school, and community settings. 

  • Bring Treatment Plans to Life – Implement BCBA-designed treatment plans with precision and care. 

  • Maintain Clear Communication – Regularly report progress to the supervising BCBA and collaborate on strategies for optimal outcomes.

Qualifications: 
  • Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent. 

  • Must be 18 years or older. 

  • Experience working with individuals with ASD or developmental disorders preferred but not required. 

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is a plus but not required. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Commitment to upholding the RBT Ethics Code. 

  • Ability to pass a background check and occupational health screening. 

Physical & Environmental Requirements: 
  • Active & Engaged Work – Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, and bending. 

  • Hands-On Support – Lifting up to 50-75 lbs may be required. 

  • Quick Reflexes – Ability to respond to behaviors such as elopement (running away) or aggressive actions. 

  • Loud or Noisy Environments – Working with active children in dynamic settings. 

  • Potential Exposure to Bodily Fluids – Assisting with hygiene or accidental incidents.

Status: 
  • Full-time

Work Schedule: 
  • Full-Time: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm 

  • No nights or weekends! 

 Compensation & Benefits: 
  • Hourly Pay: $17.15 - $20.80 per hour (based on experience, certification and education)

  • Paid indirect hours – BT’s pursuing their practicum hours towards a Master’s Degree in Behavioral Analysis will be paid for up to 15 hours of supervised indirect hours per week
