The Role

Launch your career at the intersection of financial markets, technology, and client relationships. As an Associate Sales Relationship Manager, you'll partner with the East Coast Sales team to deliver exceptional client support, market insights, product expertise, and operational excellence that drive client success and adoption of MarketAxess solutions.

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop deep knowledge of the corporate bond market and the evolving electronic trading landscape while working alongside experienced Relationship Managers and Sales professionals. You'll gain valuable exposure to some of the industry's leading institutional investors and dealers, building the skills and expertise needed for a successful long-term career in capital markets.

How You'll Help Take Us There

Product & Market Knowledge

  • Build a strong working knowledge of MarketAxess products and services, with a specialized focus on Investment Grade and High Yield bonds.
  • Develop understanding of client workflows and how MarketAxess supports trading, liquidity, and execution.
  • Stay current on credit market developments, supported by senior team members.

Client Support & Relationship Assistance

  • Support Senior Relationship Managers in managing client relationships, acting as a reliable point of contact for day‑to‑day requests.
  • Assist with client onboarding activities, follow‑ups, and end‑user training support.
  • Help gather and document client feedback, escalating insights and themes to senior team members.

Analytics, Research & Reporting

  • Support the preparation of client analytics, reports, and data extracts relating to trading activity and platform usage.
  • Assist with research on existing and prospective clients to support sales planning and meeting preparation.
  • Contribute to the production of monthly statistics, presentations, and internal reporting for the Sales team.
  • Work closely with the Sales Team and Senior Relationship Managers to support client meetings and ongoing engagements.
  • Assist with preparation of client materials, agendas, and post‑meeting follow‑ups.
  • Collaborate with internal partners (e.g. Marketing, Product, Technology) to support client‑facing initiatives.

Marketing & External Support

  • Support the coordination and maintenance of client‑facing and marketing collateral, working with the US Marketing team as needed.
  • Assist with logistics and preparation for industry events or client forums and attend where appropriate alongside senior colleagues.
  • Automate routine tasks such as reporting, account analysis, and meeting preparation
  • Generate tailored insights, summaries, and dealer materials using AI tools
  • Improve speed and quality of decision‑making by combining AI outputs with market understanding
  • Experiment with new AI‑enabled workflows to enhance dealer engagement and execution outcomes
  • Partner with internal teams to support adoption of data‑driven and AI‑enabled solutions

What We’re Looking for

Technical & Professional Skills

  • 3+ years experience in a sales, relationship management or client‑facing role within fixed income.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data, Excel, and presentations.
  • Ability to quickly learn financial products, platforms, and market concepts.

Communication & Relationship Skills

  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident interacting with internal stakeholders and clients under guidance.
  • Willingness to ask questions, seek feedback, and continuously improve.

Experience & Qualifications (Indicative)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Early‑career experience or internships in financial services, sales support, analytics, or client services preferred.
  • Interest in market structure, trading technology, or capital markets.
  • Must have or obtain SIE, 7 and 63 within 4 months of commencing the role

For job positions in NYC, NY, and other locations where required, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $115,000 USD to $130,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job‑related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
