Job description

Jones & Roth is seeking an experienced CAAS Accountant to support small- to mid-size business clients across the firm, with a strong connection to the Central Oregon business community.

This role blends full-cycle accounting, technology, and advisory services—helping clients improve financial visibility, streamline processes, and make better decisions.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage full-cycle accounting, including payroll and month-end close
  • Deliver timely financial reporting with insights and recommendations
  • Build and maintain KPIs and dashboards using Syft
  • Provide financial oversight and review of client accounting
  • Improve processes, workflows, and internal controls
  • Support cloud-based systems (QuickBooks Online and integrated apps)
  • Assist with budgeting, cash flow tracking, and forecasting
  • Identify trends and communicate actionable insights
  • Supervise staff and interns

What You Bring

  • Full cycle accounting experience (including payroll)
  • Strong QuickBooks Online skills (certification preferred)
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting tools; Syft or similar a plus
  • Ability to develop and track KPIs and financial metrics
  • Process-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Experience reviewing work and supporting team development
  • Organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple clients
