Job Summary:

The Executive Business Data Analyst is a hybrid role that combines business and financial analysis with hands-on executive and project support. Working closely with the CEO and executive leadership team, this person contributes across a broad range of analytical, communications, and project-based work that shifts with the priorities of the business. It is designed for an early-career professional and offers unique exposure to executive management and strong opportunity for advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

Executive Support & Coordination

  • Serve as a versatile, day-to-day support resource to the CEO and executive leadership team.
  • Draft and manage emails, correspondence, agendas, briefing materials, and presentations.
  • Track action items, deadlines, and follow-ups across multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Conduct research, coordinate shifting priorities, and handle confidential information with discretion.

Analytics, Reporting & Financial Analysis

  • Build and maintain executive dashboards, scorecards, KPI reporting, Excel models, and forecasts.
  • Analyze financial and operational performance across business units, branches, service lines, and markets - including variance, profitability, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
  • Monitor operational KPIs (e.g., revenue growth, margin, technician utilization, service-agreement retention, quote conversion, backlog) and work with operational leaders to understand what is driving results.
  • Translate data into concise observations and actionable recommendations, and prepare materials for leadership meetings, operating reviews, and Board meetings.

Executive & Corporate Communications

  • Draft company-wide and executive communications on behalf of the CEO - on performance, priorities, organizational changes, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives.
  • Translate executive direction into clear, professional written materials and maintain a consistent executive voice.
  • Communicate complex financial or operational topics in language meaningful to employees at every level. (Strong business writing is essential; a communications background is not required.)

AI, Technology & Special Projects

  • Actively use modern AI and productivity tools to draft, summarize, research, and automate - while independently validating facts, calculations, and conclusions.
  • Support special projects such as acquisition analysis and integration, strategic planning, competitive research, and operational, compensation, or organizational analysis.
  • Take on other assignments as priorities change; judgment, accuracy, and accountability remain the responsibility of the individual.

Core Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Analytics, or another analytical discipline.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and quantitative / analytical reasoning.
  • Strong business writing, with the ability to organize complex or incomplete information clearly.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management across shifting priorities.
  • High professionalism, judgment, and discretion; comfort working directly with senior executives.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in how businesses operate.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Up to three years of relevant experience in analytics, finance, consulting, operations, or accounting (internships count).
  • Advanced Excel / financial modeling
  • Experience with generative AI tools; exposure to PE-backed or multi-location service organizations.
  • Progress toward an MBA, CPA, or CFA is a plus (not required).
