Senior Quality Systems Engineer

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support quality processes integration with Quality systems and tools like CLEaR (Closed Loop Evaluation and Reporting), EPES (Enterprise Process Evaluation System), eSMS (Enterprise Stamp Management System), MESci (Manufacturing Execution System Common Image), QDSS (Quality Decision Support System), IQDS (Integrated Quality Data System) etc. Ideal candidate will have previous experience with these tools
  • Has knowledge of Quality processes including but not limited to Line Stock Check (LSC), Cut the CoRRS (CTC), Manufacturing Self-Examination (MSE), Enterprise Quality Work Movement & Transfers, Product Verification and Acceptance Planning (PVAP), Enterprise Process Evaluation System (EPES) Surveillances, First Article Inspection (FAI), Cut The Corrs (CTC) and Non-Conformance Management (NCM), Accident, Incident, Damage Report (AIDR), Government-Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP), Break of Inspection (BOI), Internal Boeing Notification (IBN), Corrective Action (CA), Post Delivery Customer Discrepancy Reports (PQDR), Authority Media for Product Acceptance and Manufacturing Process Operations (Stamps)
  • Develops BDS quality metrics, KPIs working with BDS Quality Process Owners and sites/programs to ensure quality and compliance
  • Ability to create Tableau Dashboards, reports, websites, portals and Microsoft Share Points to satisfy BDS Quality and sites/programs needs
  • Represent, support and lead BDS Quality Requirements and needs as part of the BDS Digital Transformation activities including but not limited to Sapphire Program (MOM- Manufacturing Operations Management & PDM-Product Data Management), Digital Launch Pad (DLP) and Data Lakehouse
  • Experience working with ESATS (Enterprise Systems Architecture Tool Suite), ACP (Access Control Policy) and associated applications.
  • Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and presents that information to leadership in a succinct manner
  • Provides interpretation of complex requirements
  • Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances
  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved
  • Proficient to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and be able to meet deadlines.
  • Works under minimal direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 1+ years of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years of experience or knowledge with Sapphire Program (MOM, PDM), Digital Launch Pad (DLP) and Data Lakehouse.
  • 1+ years experience working with Senior Leadership in planning, developing, and presenting succinct presentations.
  • 2+ years of experience working in Boeing systems like IMARs (Integrated Metrics, Analysis and Reporting System), IBI (Integrated Business Intelligence) etc.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
