Job description

Job Requirements
POSITION SUMMARY
The Pilates Reformer Instruct is to be fully engaged in Health First's commitments to delivering quality care and customer experience by servicing members' needs through orientation, education, instruction, and evaluation around health and fitness.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES
  1. Designs and instructs workouts for a variety of fitness levels; maintains proper documentation of exercise progression/modification.
  2. Explains and demonstrates proper exercise form safely and correct client's form as needed.
  3. Consults with clients to understand their goals and fitness path.
  4. Follows proper club management application protocol to schedule clients and is punctual for all appointments.
  5. Follows procedures for client payment using the club management application.
  6. Works with staff and leadership to create opportunities to increase clientele.
  7. Reports any customer and/or safety concerns to Pro-Health leadership.

Work Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Work Experience: Six (6) months experience working with clients or involvement in hands-on experience via certification processes or internships.
  • Licensure: None
  • Certification:
  1. American Heart Association (AHA) HeartSaver CPR AED Certification.
  2. Nationally Certified Pilates Teachers (NCPT) by the National Pilates Certification Program (NPCP) or similar certification approved through national professional organization.
  • Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Work Experience:
  1. One (1) year of experience as a Pilates Reformer Instructor.
  2. One (1) year of experience working with clients or involvement in hands-on experience via certification processes or internships.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Physically agile; requires walking, standing, running, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, or crouching majority of the shift.
  • Heavy work that frequently includes lifting or moving objects up to 100 pounds or more with or without assistance.
  • May require moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, including reaching out and above shoulders or overhead.
  • May lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate people and/or equipment with or without assistance up to 90% of the assigned shift.
  • May be exposed to inside environments and outside environments with extreme temperatures, air contamination, dirt, grease, or water.
  • May require working with biohazards such as blood/body fluids and airborne particles following OSHA and CDC guidelines.
  • May operate various types of manual and motorized equipment used in the transportation of materials.
  • May be exposed to intense noise or vibration and awkward or confined work position.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.
  • Workspace may vary from open to confined.
  • May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle.
