Job description

Senior Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead Maintenance Development Package (MDP) projects from planning through implementation.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, budgets, risk registers, and status reports.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Maintenance, Manufacturing, Reliability, Validation, Quality, Automation, and external contractors.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project execution, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication.
  • Drive project governance, monitor deliverables, and ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope.
  • Support the development and implementation of preventive maintenance strategies for new and existing manufacturing assets.
  • Coordinate equipment turnover activities and ensure maintenance documentation is complete prior to operational readiness.
  • Partner with maintenance planners to develop maintenance job plans, preventive maintenance tasks, spare parts strategies, and equipment maintenance documentation.
  • Ensure maintenance data is accurately established within the CMMS.
  • Support asset hierarchy development, equipment records, preventive maintenance creation, and work management processes.
  • Facilitate project meetings, track action items, and drive timely completion of deliverables.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize schedule or operational impacts.
  • Ensure project activities comply with GMP requirements, site procedures, safety standards, and engineering best practices.
  • Support commissioning, qualification, startup, and operational readiness activities as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Maintenance Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of project management experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience leading Maintenance Development Package (MDP) or maintenance readiness initiatives.
  • Strong experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Hands-on experience with IBM Maximo strongly preferred.
  • Experience with maintenance planning and scheduling methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical teams.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
