InterCommunity is a Federally Qualified Healthcare Look a Like based in East Hartford, Connecticut. For over 45 years, InterCommunity has offered full healthcare services to those in central CT ranging from primary care, family and school-based healthcare, mental and behavioral health care, and addiction recovery services.


Our staff of talented and passionate licensed clinicians are looking to mentor, educate, and precept the next generation of incoming clinicians. We are looking for talented students who are looking for hands-on experiences with clinicians, nurses, residential support staff, and most importantly, clients to enrich their academic experience and fulfill any requirements they may have to complete their academic career.

Requirements:
  • Enrollment in an academic program with the purpose of obtaining a final degree award of: Bachelors or Master of Social Work (BSW; MSW) or Mental Health Counseling
  • Enrollment or current pursuit of the following clinical licensure: Social Worker (LCSW;LMSW), Professional Counselor (LPC, LPCA), Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor (LADC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor
  • Current or Approved Affiliation with an academic institution
  • Attestation from an Affiliated Academic Institution for current health records
