Job description

Who we are: We are a well-established, reputable IT provider with locations and customers across the country. We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to work out of our Fort Collins, Colorado office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the ordering of computer components, parts, and other electrotonic equipment (Firewalls, TV’s, including wall and ceiling mounts, monitors, printers, scanners, security systems, etc.) for customer orders
  • Track & maintain accurate inventory counts, including tracking what is going in and out of inventory
  • Receive purchases/inbound shipments into inventory
  • Verify accuracy of information provided by sales team on approved customer proposals (dollar amounts, quantities of goods, etc.)
  • Oversee other staff member(s) and assist with the building of computer systems and servers according to company and customer specifications
  • Ensure equipment is ordered, built, and shipped on time
  • Research & Development: Research the latest technology and specifications for computer and server builds and match components to new configurations (motherboards, CPUs, etc.)
  • Providing monthly cost structure of components (motherboards, CPU’s, hard drives, video cards, RAM, etc.) so the sales team can accurately price servers and computers to customers
  • Enter Purchase Orders based on sales and inventory levels within our accounting software
  • Process returns and create credit notes within our accounting software
  • Track COGS (Cost of Goods Sold)
  • Periodic reevaluation of costs and vendors
  • Some lifting required (up to 50 pounds)
  • Familiar with shipping programs such as FEDEX’s Shipping Manager
  • Assist the accounting department with credit card reconciliation
  • Familiar with accounting software with the ability to create purchase orders, quotes and invoices

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least two years of experience in inventory management (including inventory software) as it relates to computer parts and components
  • At least two years of experience and familiarity with ordering components for computer systems, servers and other electronics
  • At least three years’ experience in assembling computers and servers from the ground up, including taking an empty case and installing components (motherboards, processors, hard drivers, video cards, RAM, etc.) and the ability to manage others to do the same
  • Install Windows Operating Systems (both PC and server) and other software on new builds
  • Proficiency with Windows-based Operating Systems for computers, servers, and software, including Windows 10 & 11, and Server 2016 and up
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting issues/conflicts with hardware and software compatibility
  • The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
  • Excellent customer service, reporting, follow through, and time management skills.
