Job Title: Windows System Administrator
Location: Omaha, NE / Lincoln, NE (Onsite 5 Days)
Duration: Contract to hire
Job Description:
You'll help maintain and troubleshoot services that support digital card provisioning across platforms. You'll work with Windows systems, manage application web services, and monitor batch jobs to ensure everything runs smoothly.
What You'll Do:
  • Help configure and manage Windows environments, including making important system changes when needed.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to help resolve issues affecting financial institutions and digital payment services.
  • Write scripts to monitor applications and set up alerts to notify teams when something goes wrong.
  • Support ongoing projects by gathering information, sharing feedback, and helping ensure production readiness.
  • Assist with system maintenance and respond to support requests from other teams.
  • Work with release managers to plan and evaluate changes before they go live.
  • Help install updates and patches, and verify that systems are working correctly afterward.
  • Document issues and work with other teams to find and fix the root causes.

What You'll Need:
  • Around 2-4 years of experience in Windows system administration or development.
  • Basic understanding of Windows security, certificate management, and cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Shell or Perl.
  • Willingness to work in a 24x7 support model with rotating on-call duties.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Linux systems and commands.
  • Certifications related to digital payments or IT support (e.g., Plastic certification, ITIL).
  • Exposure to Agile or Lean development practices.
