As a Software Engineer I within our Models Operationalization (MLOps) organization, you will be part of a team responsible for building and supporting the production frameworks, pipelines, and platforms that enable machine learning solutions to operate reliably and efficiently at enterprise scale.

This role focuses on the operational side of machine learning rather than model development. You will partner closely with software engineers, data engineers, data scientists, and platform teams to build scalable data processing solutions, support production ML workflows, and improve the performance, reliability, and automation of enterprise machine learning systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong Python and big data experience who enjoys solving technical problems, optimizing large-scale systems, and supporting critical production environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, deploy, and support software solutions for machine learning production environments.

  • Build and maintain large-scale data pipelines and processing frameworks.

  • Optimize ML workflows, performance, scalability, and reliability.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

  • Partner with data science, engineering, and platform teams to operationalize machine learning solutions.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation.

  • Participate in on-call support and production deployments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or in lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

  • Strong Python development experience.

  • Experience with Pandas, PySpark, PyArrow, and Hadoop.

  • Experience building and supporting large-scale data processing solutions and data pipelines.

  • Experience with MLOps and production support environments.

  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Kafka, Spark Streaming, or SLURM.

  • Experience with model lifecycle management.

  • Experience with cloud-based MLOps platforms, including AWS SageMaker.

  • Experience in financial services or other highly regulated environments.

Additional Information

  • Weekend on-call rotation approximately once per month.

  • Monthly production deployments that may begin after 10:00 PM EST and extend through the weekend.
