Job Description:
Role Summary
We are seeking a motivated Power, Analog and Mixed-Signal IC Product Engineering Intern to support the product engineering team in the characterization, validation, debug, and release of power management, analog, and mixed-signal integrated circuits products. This internship provides hands-on exposure to silicon bring-up, bench validation, test automation, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with design, test, quality, and manufacturing teams.
The intern will contribute to real semiconductor products and help improve product performance, validation efficiency, and manufacturability through both manual and automated bench testing.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with silicon characterization of power, analog, and mixed-signal ICs
  • Support product validation, bring-up, and debug activities in the lab
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for bench validation and measurement workflows
  • Help automate repetitive validation tasks using tools such as Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or similar scripting environments
  • Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, parametric shifts, and yield issues
  • Support root cause analysis and coordination of failure analysis efforts
  • Create and maintain test reports, characterization summaries, scripts, and engineering documentation
  • Work with design, test, applications, quality, and manufacturing teams to resolve product issues
  • Assist in defining and executing bench, lab, and system-level tests
  • Support correlation between ATE, bench measurements, and simulation or specification targets
  • Help evaluate product behavior across process, voltage, temperature, and load conditions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of validation methodologies, automation frameworks, and debug workflows

Requirements/Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Electronics Engineering
    • Microelectronics
    • Power Electronics
    • Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design
    • Or a related field
  • Strong interest in power management, analog circuits, mixed-signal ICs, and test automation
  • Basic understanding of:
    • analog and power circuits
    • semiconductor devices
    • control loops
    • measurement and test principles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and technical documentation
  • Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Coursework or project experience in:
    • power electronics
    • analog circuits
    • mixed-signal systems
    • semiconductor testing
  • Familiarity with lab equipment such as:
    • oscilloscopes
    • electronic loads
    • power supplies
    • DMMs
    • function generators
    • logic analyzers
  • Exposure to programming or scripting tools such as:
    • Python
    • MATLAB
    • LabVIEW
    • Test automation frameworks or instrument control libraries
  • Basic familiarity with ATE, bench debug, or characterization workflows
  • Understanding of datasheets, specifications, and validation methods
  • Knowledge of DC-DC converters, LDOs, references, op amps, or similar power/analog building blocks
  • Interest in improving engineering productivity through automation
