Objectif du Poste:

L'Editeur.rice Audio joue un role cle au sein de l'equipe Audio/Post-production au Side Montreal. En tant qu'Editeur.rice Audio, vous devrez vous assurer que toutes les taches, techniques et administratives, sont accomplies en temps opportun pour soutenir la livraison des ressources audio. Vous soutiendrez l'equipe d'enregistrement et de post-production, en aidant a garantir l'achevement en temps voulu des livrables et des jalons.

Taches et Responsabilites Cles:

  • Edition de Dialogue: Editer et nettoyer les pistes de dialogue pour assurer la clarte, la coherence et une qualite sonore elevee.
  • Reduction du Bruit: Appliquer des techniques de reduction du bruit pour eliminer les pops, bruits et artefacts indesirables.
  • Synchronisation: Assurer que le dialogue est parfaitement synchronise avec les elements visuels du projet, le cas echeant.
  • Controle de Qualite: Effectuer des controles de qualite pour maintenir les normes audio et la coherence sur tous les projets. Travailler avec les outils et scripts fournis.
  • Collaboration: Travailler en etroite collaboration avec les ingenieurs du son, les concepteurs sonores et les autres membres de l'equipe pour obtenir le resultat audio souhaite.
  • Gestion des Fichiers: Organiser et gerer les fichiers audio, en appliquant la structure de nommage appropriee et en maintenant des enregistrements et des sauvegardes detailles.
  • Depannage Technique: Identifier et resoudre les problemes techniques qui surviennent pendant le processus d'edition.

  • Adherer aux procedures de Securite, de Confidentialite et de Sante et Securite de l'entreprise et assurer la conformite de l'equipe.

Requirements

Connaissances, Experience et Competences:

  • Maitrise de Pro Tools, Izotope RX, Excel.
  • Atout: connaissance ou maitrise d'Adobe Audition.
  • Capacite a travailler dans des environnements Mac et PC.
  • Grande attention aux details et oreille attentive a la qualite audio.
  • Capacite a resoudre efficacement les problemes techniques.
  • Capacite a s'adapter et a apprendre de nouvelles competences et logiciels.
  • Competences solides en gestion du temps et en organisation.
  • Autonome, ingenieux et joueur d'equipe capable de bien travailler a tous les niveaux.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Un diplome en ingenierie audio, en conception sonore ou dans un domaine connexe est prefere.
  • Experience: Minimum d'un an d'experience en edition de dialogues ou dans un domaine connexe.

Role: Dialogue Audio Editor (on-call)

Montreal, Canada

Purpose of Job:

The Audio Editor plays a key role within the Audio/Post team at Side Montreal. As an Audio Editor, you will need to ensure that all tasks, technical and administrative, are completed in a timely manner to support the delivery of audio assets. You will support the recording and post-production team, helping to ensure the timely completion of deliverables and milestones.

Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Dialogue Editing: Edit and clean up dialogue tracks to ensure clarity, consistency, and high-quality sound.
  • Noise Reduction: Apply noise reduction techniques to remove unwanted pops, noise and artefacts.
  • Synchronisation: Ensure dialogue is perfectly synchronised with the visual elements of the project, when applicable.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality checks to maintain audio standards and consistency across all projects. Work with provided tools and scripts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with recording engineers, sound designers, and other team members to achieve the desired audio outcome.
  • File Management: Organise and manage audio files, applying the proper filenaming struction and maintaining detailed records and backups.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any technical issues that arise during the editing process.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A degree or diploma in audio engineering, sound design, or a related field is preferred.
