The Job.

What you will do in this position:

  • Develop andmaintainJava software for high-traffic online products, working under the guidance of senior developers.
  • Assistin the development of both internal and customer-facing web applications.
  • Write, test, and debug SQL queries and use Object-Relational Mappers (ORMs) with major relational databases.
  • Learn toleveragevarious middleware technologies to help create scalable solutions that meet business needs.
  • Gain exposure to cloud-based services and deployments, with an emphasis on Microsoft Azure.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and join an on-call rotation to help respond to system issues outside of regular working hours (withappropriate trainingand mentorship).
  • Work closely with business analysts to understand and clarify technical specifications.
  • Contribute to design andimplementationdiscussions, helping to produce effective strategies while balancing various technical constraints.
  • Use the command line to manage services, check logs, andassistwith system configurations in a Linux environment.
  • Collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, including product, QA, and operations.
Qualifications.

Who you are:

  • Weโ€™relooking for an enthusiastic and motivated entry-level developer who is eager to learn and grow their skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • 0 to 2 years of professional software development experience (internships, co-ops, and significant academic or open-source projects count).
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, ordirectly relatedexperience.
  • Familiarity with the basic web development lifecycle in a professional or academic environment.
  • Foundational knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Some exposure to or interest in cloud platforms, with Microsoft Azure preferred (coursework, labs, certifications, or hands-on projects all welcome).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and a proactive attitude toward asking questions and seeking guidance.
