IBM i (AS400) RPG Developer

Summary:

Seeking an experienced IBM i (AS400) RPG Developer to develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications on IBM Power Systems. The role involves application development, production support, business engagement, and ERP integrations.

IBM i (AS400), RPGLE, RPG Free, CL, Web Services, XML, JSON, REST APIs, ERP Systems, Aldon, Production Support, Change Management.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and support IBM i (AS400) applications.

Develop solutions using RPGLE, RPG Free, CL, Web Services, and XML.

Analyze and resolve production issues, incidents, and support tickets.

Partner with business users to gather requirements and create technical solutions.

Develop and maintain technical documentation and coding standards.

Participate in change management, deployments, and release activities.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

5+ years of IBM i AS400 development experience.

Strong expertise in RPGLE, RPG Free, CL, Web Services, and XML.

Experience working in large ERP environments.

Experience with change management tools (Aldon preferred).

Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and support production systems.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and Web Services integrations.

Python development experience.

Knowledge of Sales and Service business processes.

Experience with large ERP implementations.

Familiarity with Help Systems products.
