In the past three years, the firm has been awarded over 10 regional, national and international design awards for design excellence. PLA is very fortunate to be serving outstanding clients on a range of projects in the US and sometimes abroad. Projects include working on "innovation spaces" (learning spaces, labs and offices), Interiors projects, Residential projects and Urban Design. The office provides a highly collaborative studio setting, where a shared commitment to design excellence, craft, sustainability and client service are of paramount value.
Job Description
Paul Lukez Architecture is seeking candidates for 1-2 semester internships (FT preferred but PT roles available.) Interns at PLA work very closely with the principal & key senior staff on a range of project types and scales -primarily during design phases - and therefore are required to be well organized and well versed in an array of design software programs. Most importantly, the candidate must be a good listener and be able to work collaboratively with staff and clients alike.
The requirements listed below are representative of the essential duties required of our Architectural & Interior Design Interns:
  • Assist Project Manager in designing projects of various scales and detail
  • Working with team members on design plans and models in Revit or SketchUp
  • Develop graphics and illustrations highlighting design concepts
  • Create 3D (digital) models of projects as required
  • Help with general office activities as needed
  • Attend meetings with contractors and clients as opportunities allow

Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience with Revit and AutoCAD
  • Modeling software such as SketchUp, Enscape, Rhino, or VRay
  • Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Microsoft Powerpoint
