We're looking for a sales engineer's role is to complete the quoting process on new machining opportunities. This position will review customer requirements and determine the most cost-efficient production process for the requested parts. You will calculate cycle times, manufacturing operations, compile all appropriate costs to determine the proper selling price, prepare customer quotation and maintain corporate sales database.
What You'll Do as a Sales Engineer:
  • Develop new business opportunities to determine potential fit for organization
  • Complete time studies for desired manufacturing processes using various methods
  • Compile costs for quoted process
  • Work with outside suppliers
  • Determine costs of capital equipment, work-holding, tooling, gauging
  • Communicate directly with customers
  • Prepare or supervise quote preparations
  • Prepare sales and engineering presentations
  • Perform contract reviews on new and existing purchase orders
  • Other tasks as assigned
