Job description

This position is 100% onsite and relocation is not available.
As a Junior Designer in the Residential and Mixed-Use Studio at AO, you will play a critical role in shaping and developing architectural projects from concept through execution. Working closely with architects, fellow designers, and project team members, you'll transform creative ideas into functional, visually compelling design solutions that support both client goals and project success.
Key Responsibilities & Competencies
Conceptual Design
  • Collaborate with project teams to generate innovative design concepts aligned with client objectives and project requirements.

3D Modeling
  • Develop and manage complex 3D models with accuracy, efficiency, and strong attention to detail.

Material Selection
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend materials, finishes, and furnishings that support project aesthetics and sustainability goals.

Graphic Design
  • Demonstrate strong graphic sensibility and precision.
  • Navigate design software confidently to format presentations and deliver detailed, scope-aligned visual materials.

Client Interface
  • Participate in client meetings to understand project vision and integrate feedback into the design process.

Qualifications
  • Recent Bachelor's degree/ Master's degree in Architecture
  • 2+ years of architectural design experience (including internship) supported by a strong, creative portfolio.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, RHINO and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
