Description
CLGT Solutions, LLC dba CLOVEHITCH is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business focused upon providing professional solutions in the areas of training and talent acquisition. 
We are seeking interpreters to provide services for one deaf/hard of hearing (HOH) employee at a government agency in Phoenix, Arizona. Interpreters will provide onsite ASL services, as needed, for meetings, briefings, town halls, award ceremonies, training sessions, safety talks, conferences, and human resources actions, to name a few.  
You will be responsible for:

  • Providing on-site interpreting services.
  • Conveying messages accurately, impartially, and in a culturally appropriate manner between spoken English and American Sign Language.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhere to the RID Code of Professional Conduct.
  • Preparing for assignments by reviewing relevant vocabulary, terminology, and context.
  • Demonstrating professionalism, punctuality, and reliability for all scheduled assignments.

Education, Experience, & Requirements
 
  • Active RID certification (NIC, CI/CT, CSC, or equivalent) or Undergraduate or Graduate Degree from an accredited College or University with a major study in a field related to either interpretation or American Sign Language (ASL) studies.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional interpreting experience preferred.
  • Excellent command of ASL and spoken/written English.
  • Ability to remain impartial and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Due to federal contract requirements, this position is restricted to U.S. citizens.


Work Environment
On-site at client facility, with occasional remote work.
Physical Demands
This position requires frequent standing and use of hands.
Position Type & Hours of Work
Part-time.
Travel
This position will not require travel.
