Job description

Engineering students in Durango: Want to actually build something?

GT Tools is hiring a Part-Time Manufacturing Optimization Specialist for approximately 20 hours/week.

We're looking for someone studying Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering—or another technically relevant field—who wants experience that goes well beyond a traditional internship.

You'll work directly with our manufacturing team on:

CNC machining • CAD/CAM • Lean • manufacturing data • 3D printing • G-code/Python • process optimization • quality systems • automation

More importantly, you'll be given actual manufacturing problems and the opportunity to develop solutions that get implemented on our shop floor.

We're looking for someone who's exceptionally comfortable with technology, curious, analytical, willing to get their hands dirty, and constantly looking for a better way to do things.

The position is on-site in Durango, CO, approximately 20 hours/week, with flexibility around a college schedule.

For the right person, we see this as much more than a semester job. As GT Tools grows, there's an opportunity for the scope and responsibility of this role to grow with it.
