Job description

Day in the Life of a Engineer
We are looking for curious, analytical engineers who are excited to apply their technical skills to real aircraft and real manufacturing environments. As an Entry Level Integration & Manufacturing Engineer, you will work closely with experienced engineers, manufacturing, and quality teams to integrate new products into aircraft and continuously improve how we build them.
As a Engineer at Bell, you can expect to:
  • Design and update procedures and detailed drawings/schematics (e.g., parts, structural and electrical installations, wiring diagrams, interface control documents) for STC kits and customized completions using various design software and manufacturers' technical data.
  • Support integration of mechanical, electrical/avionics and software-enabled systems, including requirements interpretation, installation concepts, and basic engineering analyses.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality to ensure designs are practical, producible, and properly documented, and assist in resolving build and installation issues on the shop floor.
  • Assist with bench and system-level testing, coupon and component-level testing, aircraft ground/flight testing, data collection, and troubleshooting of installations and system features.
  • Prepare technical documentation such as analysis reports and test plans to support certification and STC approvals.
  • Research and respond to product support and field questions by reviewing drawings, specifications, and test data, and incorporate approved changes via ECRs and drawing revisions accurately and on time.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need
• A bachelor's degree or higher with a major in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer/Software Engineering or related technical field required.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Foundational knowledge of aircraft, systems, and/or manufacturing processes through coursework, labs, or practical experience.
  • Basic familiarity with CAD and engineering analysis tools (e.g., NX, CATIA, Autodesk, or similar, plus tools such as Excel, MATLAB, ALTAIR, NASTRAN, or Python for analysis).
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment.

What Will Make You Stand Out
  • Experience with composite materials (design, analysis, testing, or manufacturing) gained through coursework, research, labs, internships, or co-ops.
  • Exposure to aircraft or product integration activities (e.g., installation design, interface requirements, routing of systems, modification of existing platforms, or STC/completions work).
  • Familiarity with data analytics or AI/ML tools applied to engineering or manufacturing, such as Python, MATLAB, R, or similar tools for data analysis, visualization, or predictive modeling.
  • Hands-on experience in laboratory, prototype, or production environments, including working with test data, manufacturing instructions, or quality documentation.
  • Understanding of manufacturing and continuous improvement principles (e.g., lean, Six Sigma, process capability) and interest in applying them to aircraft production.
