Job description

Job Title: Intern
Reports To: Foreman on Site
Direct Reports: None

Job Summary:
An Intern assists with installations under the Foreman's supervision. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe, clean job site, supporting the team with materials and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with Trade Specific system installations.
  • Learn to read blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Enrolled in an internship class/program or school to work program with one of Team Kline's local partners.
  • Strong willingness to learn and work effectively within a team.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • OSHA10 certificate preferred.
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally more with assistance.
  • Prolonged standing and walking on various surfaces.
  • Frequent ladder use and work at heights.
  • Regular bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.
  • Frequent use of hands for tools and precision work.
  • Good vision and hearing required; use of PPE, including safety glasses and hearing protection, is mandatory.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity.

Safety Requirements:
  • Comply with OSHA safety guidelines and wear PPE as needed.
  • Report hazards and follow safe work practices.
  • If under 18, parent/guardian must sign off on Job Offer, IWD Hazardous Worksite and parent/guardian must attend Jobsite Tour per IWD requirements.

Work Environment:
Indoors and outdoors in various settings, exposed to extreme weather, confined spaces, and high elevations.
  • Protective equipment is required in noisy, dusty, or hazardous environments.
  • Work may involve tight spaces and handling heavy tools.
