Job description

The Lead Production is responsible for assisting the production leadership in the daily coordination of work activities and the development of production employees.  Will ensure that safety, quality, policies, and procedures are followed; production schedules are achieved; and be the lead on the assigned product work cell. 

This is a second shift position; Monday -  Friday 1:45pm - 10:15pm

Shift differential pay: $1.50 per hour 

 

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure production team conformance to safety procedures through daily monitoring, documenting of issues and preventative action 
  • Ensure product quality requirements are met and that the production team follows all production processes 
  • Lead the production team to ensure daily and weekly production schedules are met 
  • Escalate production issues cross-functionally per established processes 
  • Ensure transactions are completed accurately and troubleshoot issues as necessary 
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment are maintained in proper working order 
  • Coordinate training and certification of production team and maintain required documentation 
  • Work with the production team and cross-functional team members to resolve complex problems and issues 
  • Learn and participate in Lean Manufacturing activities including Improve-It Idea leadership 
  • Lead the onboarding of new employees in the production team 
  • Execute production processes as needed to provide backup or to meet the production schedule 
  • Resolve teamwork issues on the team; Work with supervisor to address performance issues 
  • Lead the production team to ensure daily and weekly production schedules are met 
  • Lead and engage the production team in daily Tier 1 meetings and communicate issues to Tier 2 meetings. 
  • Provide feedback and documentation on production employee performance and compliance to company policies 
  • Create proposed disciplinary action write-ups and performance appraisals for the supervisor 
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area 
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures  
  • Attend all required company training 
  • Demonstrate commitments to Stratasys Behaviors by leading, acting, and modeling these values. 
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the department or manager 

Must have for this role:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ years related experience in a manufacturing environment  
  • ERP system knowledge 
  • Knowledge of computer skills required to send and receive emails, use ADP/HRMS, use test operating systems, and other systems to communicate with supervisors or any others within Stratasys
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others

Nice to have:

  • Experience in Project management 
  • Experience with LEAN Manufacturing

Additional Information:

For this position, the typical hourly rate is from $24 to $27 per hour, which does not include variable incentive pay. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. Your individual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, geographical location, and/or experiences.
