Job description

Play a key part in helping churches create the right space by designing and building purposeful spaces that play a direct role in discipleship!

Our interior designers are involved in projects from conceptual design through construction administration.

Success in this role depends not only on proactive coordination and creative translation, but also on strong teamwork and clear communication. It involves bringing a design vision to life while maintaining highly organized drawings and material palettes, ensuring the concept is accurately executed in the field.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·     Assist interior design and architecture lead with involvement in all phases of the design process for design/build commercial projects in the faith-based sector. This role is both design and technically focused.

·     Design: Assist in creating designs from concept to completion. Includes space planning, furniture, fixtures, lighting, equipment, casework, signage and all finishes. Our teams collaborate closely to create a beautifully coordinated interior and exterior environment...there is no boundary to good design.

·     Sourcing and Sampling: Gathering physical finishes, fabrics, and material samples based on the design direction. Manage the project samples and create client presentations.

·     Mood Board Creation: Compile digital and physical concept boards, imagery, and material palettes.

·     Researching FF&E: Finding furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) options that fit the project's aesthetic, budget, and commercial grade requirements.

·     2D and 3D Model Creation: Producing precise 2D drawings and 3D modeling/rendering using primarily Revit and Enscape, as well as Adobe Suite and Microsoft Suite.

·     Finish Schedules: Creating and maintaining detailed spreadsheets that track every single paint color, tile, hardware piece, and floor finish assigned to every room.

·     FF&E Specification Packages/Pricing: Writing the technical spec sheets for furniture procurement, tracking lead times, and organizing quotes from vendors to assist with confirming project budgets.

·     Site & Client Support: Attend client meetings and make site visits. Will often require presenting to the client, taking detailed meeting minutes, verifying field measurements, and drafting site observation reports.


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum five years of interior design experience, with at least two years of experience working on commercial projects. Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Design Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Minimum four-year degree in Interior Design. NCIDQ preferred.

Knowledge areas: Principles of design and visualization, with an emphasis on innovation. Exhibiting a visionary mindset.  Ability to understand and interpret budgetary guidelines and project expenditures a plus.  Experience in commercial projects and/or a working knowledge of church culture leadership, ministry and facilities is also a plus.
