Join SSFM’s Civil Transportation Team and help deliver innovative, community-centered infrastructure across the islands. We’re seeking a Civil Design Engineer or Civil Engineer (licensed) who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is ready to make a real impact on complete streets and multimodal projects.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and support Civil 3D and AutoCAD design for complete streets, roadway, and transportation projects
  • Review, develop, and coordinate detailed plan sets, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Collaborate with project teams and the Traffic Group to ensure quality and timely delivery
  • Attend client meetings, communicate technical solutions, and support contract administration
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture
  • Visit project sites as needed to monitor progress and serve as an on-site representative

Special Requirements & Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (accredited university)
  • 3–4 years of civil engineering experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Word, Excel, Project
  • Strong communication, organization, and deadline-driven mindset
  • Valid driver’s license with clean abstract
  • Ability to uphold strict ethical standards and pass reference, background, and motor vehicle checks

Preferred:

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • Experience with Civil 3D
  • Transportation/Roadway design background
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers
