Description

The Software Engineer III supports the NSWC Crane Model-Based Engineering Assessment Division (Code MXM) on the MXM EMSO effort, executing assigned Technical Instructions under Government technical direction in support of the RDT&E, mission engineering, modeling and simulation, and Fleet-support tasking defined in the SOW/PWS. The position requires 10 years of professional experience with software engineering. The Software Engineer III performs assigned work in accordance with Team quality, configuration-management, and security requirements.

Requirements

Additional Desired Experience

10+ years experience with software engineering.

TS/SCI eligibility preferred.

Experience with applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting.

Experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting.

Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification.

Requirements

Master's degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems)

10 years of professional experience with software engineering.

Active DoD SECRET security clearance (or interim) required and must be maintained.

Required work location: NSWCCR / Contractor Facility.
