Salesforce Operations Specialist (part-time, 20 hrs/week)
Location: Remote within the contiguous United States
Reports to: VP of Advancement
Total Compensation: $35,000. 100% 401k Match, Flexible PTO. Role is not eligible for health benefits.
Job Description
Our mission at ISRG is to reduce financial, technological, and educational barriers to secure communication over the Internet. We operate three projects (Let's Encrypt, Prossimo, and Divvi Up) that improve the security and privacy of billions of people using the Internet.
ISRG was founded 12 years ago. Throughout our history, we've grown and diversified our revenue to respond to evolving needs and ambitions within our organization. We are a small team so we seek opportunities to leverage efficiency and automation. The team is in the process of evolving operationally and Salesforce improvements are a core part of that.
We are seeking a Salesforce Operations Specialist to join our Advancement team. This role is built for a detail-oriented operations professional who understands that clean, accurate data is the foundation of effective nonprofit fundraising and who takes genuine pride in maintaining it.
You will own the systems and processes that keep our donor data healthy, our gift records compliant, and our team equipped with the reporting they need to make good decisions. This is a highly independent role with meaningful scope: you'll work across Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack, our accounting systems, and several third-party giving platforms and integrations to keep everything running smoothly.
The right candidate will bring creativity, acuity, and a systems-oriented mindset. You should be comfortable building processes from the ground up, collaborating across teams, and ensuring that our communications are effective and efficient. This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities. Responsibilities may evolve over time based on team or organizational needs.
Position Must-Haves
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Salesforce database work
  • Demonstrated experience evolving a Salesforce instance
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage Salesforce data for business insight
  • Meticulousness around data integrity
  • Systems-oriented thinker who eliminates inefficiencies
  • Skilled at managing multiple priorities; strong organization skills
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Collaborative mindset; lending a hand to get the highest priority work done even if it's not usually on your plate

Position Nice-to-Haves
  • Systems management experience for Notion, Donorbox, Shopify, BoldSign, and Sage Intacct
  • Specific experience with the Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack
  • Experience developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Location and Benefits
This is a remote position. You may be based anywhere in the contiguous United States; the role requires availability during our team's core collaboration hours of 8am CT to 6pm CT. Travel expectations are 1-2 times per year. We will help you get your home office in good shape, including reimbursing Internet and phone expenses every month. Other benefits include 100% match for 401k contributions, flexible time off and generous parental leave. Inclusive Workplace
Not sure if you actually meet some of our requirements? Studies have shown that female-identifying folks and people of color are less likely to be confident that they meet requirements. At ISRG we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you're excited about this role but you're not sure if your past experience aligns with the requirements in the job description, we encourage you to reach out to [email protected].
ISRG is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender, orientation, national origin, age, disability, or any other characteristic. We celebrate diversity and strive to create an inclusive workplace for everyone. It is a priority for us to represent the diversity of the billions of people who use the Internet for their lives and work. We want to understand how to make security and privacy more accessible to everyone, and we value different perspectives and experiences. We strongly encourage people from under-represented communities to apply to help us make the Internet better!
