In addition to specializing in providing correspondent banking products and services to community banks we also provide bank holding company loans, commercial loans, leasing, secondary mortgage products, cash letter/cash management, investment trading, safekeeping and portfolio accounting, correspondent credit services, international services, bank card products, and risk management solutions. Bankers' Bank has offices in Madison, WI, Des Moines, IA, Chicago, IL, Indianapolis, IN and Dublin, OH.

Bankers' Bank is seeking a TA Network Operations & Security Specialist to join our Madison, WI team. This role is responsible for overseeing the Bank's network, including installation, support and security of hardware and operating systems. They will collaborate with other Technology & Analytics staff, leaders, and company staff. Role requires the ability to work independently, prioritize, and track timeline for projects and operational tasks.

Security Operations

  • Conduct technical risk analysis for all IT infrastructure and application projects, including project management or remediation efforts for identified risks.
  • Analyze effectiveness of security software/hardware according to policies and their integration into existing infrastructure.
  • Assists with brainstorming cloud policies and best practices and enforce them, including Microsoft Azure, Office 365, AWS, and other public/private cloud services.
  • Assists the VP/ Technology & Analytics to maintain and run annual security awareness training.
  • Proactive monitoring and in-depth analysis of security-related threats and events logs. Differentiate between potential intrusion attempts and pinpoint false alarms.
  • Respond to security incidents, conduct investigations, and define measures to prevent re-occurrences for all endpoints.
  • Assists the VP/Technology & Analytics with day-to-day administration of overall security infrastructure of Bank managed systems both on-premises and cloud.

Network Operations

  • Oversee network administration, including back-up, security management, user account management, email systems (i.e., email web servers, Internet access, office systems and application support).
  • Supports server, network desktop, and mobile hardware, software and applications.
  • Implements and supports the network and computing infrastructure.
  • Act as an escalation point for service desk related items.
  • Assist in upgrades of third-party transactional applications as needed.

Administrative & Customer Service

  • Enforce current security policies, standards, and guidelines and the Bank.
  • Assists with development and implementation of security policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Rolls out enterprise-wide hardware and software to ensure effective deployment of resources.
  • Responds to TA tickets within their queue and escalation phone calls.
  • Documents processes related to Network Operations and Security.

Other

  • Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization.

Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, business administration, or other relation field/ equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the functions of the job. Four of more years of experience in network administration, two or more years must be relevant IT cybersecurity experience. Demonstrated experience with enterprise server virtualization, VMware, Linuz, Red Hat, SQL, SAN technologies, Palo Alto or comparable systems. Demonstrated experience with desktop software installation and troubleshoot as well as setting up remote access for users. Demonstrated administration experience with Windows and servers up to Server 2025 and Windows 11. Demonstrated ability to secure and manage a 200+node network including firewalls, firewall theory, and security for web, cloud, Office 365 and operating systems/ databases.
