Wireless Internet Service Technician

Stimulus Technologies is a turnkey technology company providing Managed IT Services and high-speed Wireless Internet through Stimulus Broadband. We are seeking a motivated Wireless Internet Service Technician to join our team in Klamath Falls, OR. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, solving technical challenges, and delivering exceptional customer service.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Wireless Internet Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing wireless internet installations, service calls, maintenance, and troubleshooting for residential and business customers. This role requires a combination of technical aptitude, physical capability, and customer-facing professionalism.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Installing, mounting, and configuring wireless broadband equipment at customer locations.
  • Carrying and transporting tools, radios, antennas, networking equipment, and installation materials to and from job sites.
  • Climbing ladders, rooftops, towers, and elevated structures to install and service wireless equipment safely.
  • Performing service calls to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and restore wireless internet connectivity issues.
  • Configuring and programming network devices, routers, radios, switches, and customer-premise equipment.
  • Assigning, modifying, and troubleshooting IP addresses, network settings, and connectivity configurations.
  • Testing signal strength, network performance, and equipment functionality to ensure reliable service.
  • Running and securing cabling while maintaining clean and professional installations.
  • Documenting installation details, service work performed, and customer interactions.
  • Educating customers on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting procedures.
  • Maintaining company safety standards while working in varying weather conditions and challenging outdoor environments.
