DBTA is seeking an experienced and dynamic Tax Partner to join our leadership team. This role is highly strategic, with responsibility for overseeing tax operations, leading complex client engagements, and shaping the continued growth of our Private Client practice.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, a strong UHNW advisory background, and a passion for relationship-building, mentorship, and firm leadership.   • Provide strategic leadership in developing and executing the firm's tax vision and overall business strategy
  • Partner with firm leadership to drive growth, innovation, and operational excellence
  • Represent DBTA in high-level client, community, and industry engagements
Client Advisory & Relationship Management
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to UHNW clients on complex tax and wealth planning matters
  • Lead sophisticated engagements involving multi-entity structures, international taxation, estate planning, business transactions, and succession planning
  • Build, maintain, and expand strong client relationships through proactive, high-touch service
Technical Expertise & Quality Oversight
  • Ensure all tax planning, compliance, and advisory services meet the highest professional and ethical standards
  • Stay current on evolving tax laws and guide firm-wide technical direction
  • Review and approve complex tax strategies, structures, and compliance deliverables
Team Development & Culture
  • Mentor and develop tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
  • Provide coaching and leadership to Managers and Senior staff
  • Support recruiting efforts to attract and retain top talent
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field
  • Active CPA license required
  • 12-15+ years of progressive tax experience, with significant focus on UHNW and Private Clients
  • Proven leadership experience within a public accounting or advisory firm
  • Demonstrated success managing complex engagements and leading high-performing teams
  • Exceptional relationship management skills and ability to advise sophisticated clients
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong interest in firm growth and leadership
