  1. Abrasive/UHP blast and paint/coatings to decks, piping, structural steel, vessels, tanks (internal/external).
  2. Demonstrate working knowledge of coatings applications and surface prep methods.
  3. Exemplify working knowledge of cable rigging systems, and spiders.
  4. Operate various power tools in accordance with company safety policies.
  5. Prepare, operate and inspect blast pots and spray pots and pumps.
  6. Ensure enough onsite material is staged for the day's operation.
  7. Understand and adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
  8. Adjust to work-related demands.
  9. Demonstrate willingness for continuous self-improvement.
  10. Persist at difficult tasks despite unexpected obstacles.
  11. Demonstrate conscientiousness and dependability to produce quality results.
  12. Recognize company goals and maintain safety culture.
  13. Correspond and verbally communicate in a professional manner with customers.
  14. Other related duties may be assigned. 

Qualifications

  1. No previous experience is required
  2. Knowledge of all components of a standard equipment package and the ability to describe its function is preferred
  3. Proficiency in rigging up each component and understanding of their purpose is preferred
  4. TWIC card required for some job sites

Physical Requirements

  1. Standing and walking throughout the shift.
  2. Climbing, stooping, bending, balancing, reaching, pushing, pulling, and twisting.
  3. Must be able to wear a full-face respirator or blast hood for extended periods.
  4. May be required to work in extremely tight spaces or on elevated/suspended platforms.
  5. Must be willing to work in remote locations for extended periods.
  6. Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds often and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
