Job Description

Maintains accountability for the efficient operation of the client's Health Trauma Registry

Identifies, abstracts, and codes cases using International Classification of Diseases (ICD) and Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS)

Accessions and analyzes registry data in order to disseminate in accordance with professional ethics

Performs components of quality monitoring functions and participates in planning to improve data quality.

Qualifications

Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) and/or certification eligible

Licenses - Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) and/or certification eligible

Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and/or certification eligible

Experience with trauma registry, American Association of Automotive Medicine Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS-90 or 95) training

Licenses - Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and/or certification eligible

National Certified Specialist in Trauma Registry

Experienced with CDM's software product Trauma Baseย 

Experience with Cerner - EMRย 

Experience with TQIP trauma moduleย 

AIS coding trained
