Job description

Threshold Giving is proud to partner with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), a global humanitarian organization that responds to the world's worst crises and helps people whose lives and livelihoods have been shattered by conflict and disaster survive, recover, and reclaim control of their future. IRC programs provide medical care, emergency food, education, and critical support in more than 40 countries and across U.S. cities.
As a Humanitarian Advocate, you'll be the trusted voice in your community - engaging the public, answering questions, and inspiring support for people forced from their homes.
Your Role as a Face-to-Face Fundraiser
You'll help grow a community of monthly donors whose support powers lifesaving IRC work. Through personal conversations on busy streets, at events, retail locations, and in neighborhoods, you'll highlight urgent needs and show how everyone can take action. Face-to-face fundraising allows real-time engagement, builds understanding, and drives meaningful, lasting progress.

  • Competitive base pay ($20-$25/hour depending on market) + uncapped bonus opportunities
  • Full-time positions available. Part-time is available only if you can complete the first two weeks of training full-time, then work a part-time schedule that includes Saturdays and Sundays

  • Reliable and self-motivated; prior sales/fundraising experience is a plus but not required
  • Ability to complete two weeks of full-time training; weekend availability required for part-time schedules
