Job description

Cherry Bekaert's International Tax team is growing! Our International Tax team helps businesses compete globally while navigating the complexities of U.S. international tax regulations and reporting requirements. As an International Tax Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting clients with international tax compliance, research, and consulting projects while working alongside experienced tax professionals.
As an International Tax Intern you will:
  • Work directly with tax professionals on a variety of international tax compliance and consulting engagements
  • Assist with the preparation of U.S. international tax forms, including Forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858, 8992, 1118, K-2, and K-3
  • Gather, organize, and analyze client financial and tax data to support international tax projects
  • Assist with calculations related to foreign tax credits, GILTI, Subpart F income, earnings and profits (E&P), and other international tax provisions
  • Conduct tax research and summarize findings related to international tax issues and reporting requirements
  • Utilize Excel and tax technology tools to support compliance, reporting, and modeling activities
  • Thoroughly verify work for completeness and accuracy
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional client service and meet project deadlines

What we are looking for in this role:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field
  • Interest in international tax and multinational business operations
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with tax research tools, tax software, or data analytics tools is a plus
  • CPA-track or intent to pursue CPA certification preferred
