Silvaris is seeking an experienced OSB trader to join our talented team! This position is located in one of Silvarisโ€™ offices in Fairhope, AL, Waynesboro, MS, Petal, MS, Boise, ID, or Portland, OR. A candidate who excels at all requirements may be granted the possibility to work remotely.

What youโ€™ll do as a Silvaris OSB Trader:

  • Prospecting for Supply and Sales leads, inside and outside our Database
  • Cold Call Suppliers and Customer to create โ€œWin Winโ€ Solutions
  • Understanding current market dynamics within each product segment
  • Identify and develop new accounts that fit our product segments
  • Collaborate with other Traders to offer superior pricing and customer service
Ideal Qualifications:
  • 3 or more years of professional work experience trading OSB, both on grade and down grade.
  • Self-starter who is confident to carry out large trades; able to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Track record of resilience and flexibility to adapt to shifting market conditions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High comfort level with web-based technology
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Fast learner โ€“ get up to speed on products quickly
  • A passion for attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Established contacts/book of business in Seconds & Surplus, Building Materials, Lumber & Panel Products or Agriculture products.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing or related field
  • Experience in highly competitive roles
